Characteristics

Leaf linear, 60–120 × 4–6 mm. Flower stem 120–200 mm long, 1–2 (–3)-flowered. Flowers 80–110 mm across, creamy yellow to straw-yellow with inconspicuous red markings; lateral sepals and petals stiffly spreading with long, drooping, brownish black, densely glandular, filamentous tips. Dorsal sepal erect, 60–80 × 2–3 mm. Lateral sepals 60–80 × 2.5–4 mm. Petals 60–70 × 1.5–3 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, 11–13 × 9–11 mm, straw-yellow to creamy yellow with prominent red stripes and markings; margins with numerous short, blunt, cream teeth; tip recurved. Calli anvil-shaped, to 1.5 mm long, glossy, creamy yellow with red markings, in 2 rows. Column 8–11 × 3–5 mm, creamy yellow with red stripes.
