Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 60–150 × 6–10 mm. Flower stem 100–250 mm tall, sturdy, 1-flowered. Flowers 35–40 mm across, pale green to green with red central stripes; sepals with thick, yellow (sometimes brown) clubs 7–8 × 1.5–2 mm; petals lacking clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 35–45 × 2–3 mm, incurved. Lateral sepals stiffly spreading to decurved, 35–45 × 2–3 mm, nearly parallel. Petals similarly arranged, 30–35 × 1 mm. Labellum delicately hinged, 10–14 × 9–12 mm, pale green with dark reddish black or purple-black apex (no white patch); basal margins with 4–6 pairs of thin, green comb-teeth to 4.5 mm long; midlobe margins with numerous short, broad, red teeth; tip recurved. Basal calli c. 4 mm long. Lamina calli to 2 mm long, maroon, densely crowded in 4 rows onto maroon patch, those on midlobe papillate. Column incurved, 12–14 × 3–4 mm, transparent green with red flecks; basal glands c. 1.3 mm long, club-shaped, shiny yellow with red base.
