Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 60–140 × 6–9 mm, densely hairy, base spotted red. Flower stem 150–400 mm tall, thick, sturdy, hairy, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 30–35 mm across, green with red central stripes; sepals and petals with yellowish to brownish clubs 3–12 × 1 mm. Dorsal sepal incurved, 40–50 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals projected obliquely forwards, 40–50 × 3.5–4 mm, parallel. Petals spreading to deflexed, 30–40 × 1.5–2 mm. Labellum delicately hinged, 12–15 × 13–16 mm, green and white to yellowish with a dark maroon apex; basal margins with 3–5 pairs of thin, erect comb-teeth to 3 mm long; midlobe margins with a few short, blunt teeth and irregular scalloping; tip recurved. Basal calli c. 3 mm long. Lamina calli to 1.5 mm long, maroon, in 4 moderately crowded rows onto base of midlobe.
