Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 50–140 × 7–13 mm. Flower stem 150–300 mm tall, wiry, 1-flowered. Flowers 40–60 mm across, pale yellow; labellum cream to yellowish with a red apex; calli red; column translucent with red markings; sepals and petals with long, ill-defined, slender, dark reddish clubs 8–15 mm long (petal clubs shorter than sepal clubs). Dorsal sepal erect, 30–40 × 2–2.5 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly decurved, 40–45 × 3–4 mm, divergent. Petals stiffly decurved, 30–35 × 2.5–3 mm. Labellum stiffly hinged, 11–14 × 8–10 mm; margins with 4–10 pairs of short, thick, reddish teeth to 1 mm long; tip recurved. Basal calli 4–6, c. 1.7 mm long, red. Lamina calli to 1 mm long, in 4 or 6 rows. Column 10–12 × 4–5 mm; basal glands not seen.
