Caladenia winfieldii Hopper & A.P.Br.

Leaf 100–150 × 6–8 mm. Flower stem 300–600 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 50–100 mm across, uniformly pale pink to dark pink; sepals and petals with thin, fawn clubs 10–30 mm long. Dorsal sepal erect, 35–70 × 2–4 mm. Lateral sepals stiffly spreading with decurved tips, 35–75 × 4–7 mm, widely divergent. Petals similarly arranged, 30–55 × 3–5 mm. Labellum 15–23 × 10–11 mm, dark pink; margins with erect to spreading, moderately thick teeth to 6 mm long; tip recurved. Calli to 2 mm long, pink, in 4 rows to labellum apex. Column 14–18 × 6–8 mm, bright pink.

Highly localised and rare, known from only two populations; growing along drainage lines and flats under melaleucas and in low woodland in relatively moist clay soil.
