Characteristics

Leaf lanceolate, 80–170 × 6–10 mm. Flower stem 250–320 mm tall, 1-or 2-flowered. Flowers 35–50 mm across, uniformly greenish yellow to yellow; sepals with red to black clubs 3–9 × 1 mm; petals without clubs. Dorsal sepal erect, 30–50 × 2.5–4 mm. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed to drooping, 30–50 × 3–4 mm, widely divergent. Petals reflexed, spreading to drooping, 20–40 × 2.5–3 mm. Labellum 9–11 × 7–9 mm, greenish yellow; marginal teeth short, 7–9 pairs mainly on lateral lobes, greenish yellow; tip gently recurved. Calli c. 1 mm long, greenish yellow (rarely with some red markings), in 4 or 6 rows to base of midlobe. Column 10–12 × 4–5.5 mm, translucent; basal glands c. 1.5 mm long, yellow.
