Bulb usually 2-4 cm diam. Leaves to 60 cm long, 7-15 mm wide. Umbels 12-25-flowered; scape to 45 cm long; involucral bracts 2.5-10 cm long, pink or purple; pedicels to 35 mm long. Perianth pink or purple, rarely white, sometimes yellow at base; tube 4-8 mm long; lobes 10-16 mm long. Corona 5-8 mm long, obtusely 1-or 2-lobed or truncate between filaments, pink; anthers 1.5-2 mm long. Capsule 6-10 mm diam.
