Characteristics

Succulent shrub, with trailing robust stems, up to ± 2.5 m long and 4-6-angled, winged, 15-20 mm thick internodes. Leaves 3-angled, 80-140 x 18-25 mm, glaucous, margins entirely cartilaginous. Flowers pedicellate, solitary, 120-150 mm diam., white, pale pink or magenta. Fruit 13-22-locular, fleshy, an indehiscent berry.
