Characteristics

Leaves ovate, apically obtuse, basally rotund, the margins shallowly crenate, 9-14 cm long and 5.0-7.5 cm wide, membranous, the primary lateral veins in 7 or 8 pairs, elevated beneath, plane and distinct above; petiole 11-13 mm long. Inflorescences axillary as well as terminal, to 7 cm long, usually twice-forked; the primary peduncle glabrous, 1.2-2.5 cm long; the pedicels ca. 1 mm long. Flowers bisexual, white; calyx lobes orbicular, obtuse, minutely erose, ca. 1.2 mm in diameter; petals oblong, rotund, more or less entire, ca. 2 mm long and 1.2 mm wide; disc fleshy, flat, slightly 5-lobed; stamens ca. 2 mm long; pistil short, conoid, ca. 1.5 mm long, the style columnar and blunt. Fruit not seen.
