Leaf-blades elliptic to ovate-lanceolate, 0.8–17.5(–22) cm. long, 0.4–7.5(–10) cm. wide, acute to acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base, usually rather undeveloped or even not present at the flowering stage and fully expanding in the fruiting stage, glabrous or finely pubescent, pale green but often with a bronze tinge beneath; nodules absent; domatia reduced to small white tufts or quite absent; petiole 1–4(–30) mm. long; stipules ovate or triangular, 2 mm. long, obtuse, acute, shortly bifid or even with several teeth..
