Characteristics

Shrub or small tree to 7 m high [to 20 m high, fide Cooper & Cooper (2004: 175)]. Leaves: Petiole 8–10 mm long; lamina elliptic to ovate, 45–130 mm long, 25–65 mm wide, base cuneate to rounded, margin entire or weakly sinuate, tip acuminate, venation comprising 8–10 lateral veins. Inflorescence up to 5 mm long. Male flowers 1.5–2 mm long, 2–4 mm diam.; pedicels 3–5 mm long; sepals orbicular to ovate, c. 2 mm long, 1.8 mm wide. Female flowers c. 3 mm long, 2–2.5 mm diam.; pedicels 2–3 mm long; sepals orbicular to ovate, 1–2 mm long, 1–1.2 mm wide; ovary 1–1.5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm diam.; styles 1.5–2 mm long. Fruit globose, 8–9 mm long, c. 9 mm diam.
