Tree 7.5–20(–30) m. tall, with a trunk up to 10 m. tall and 20–90 cm. wide; bark greyish-white, smooth, fibrous or furrowed; branchlets glabrous, ridged.. Leaf-blades elliptic, oblong-lanceolate or obovate-oblong, slightly falcate, 2.5–25(–29) cm. long, 1.2–6.3 cm. wide, narrowly acuminate at the apex, cuneate or rounded but ± decurrent at the base, subcoriaceous, discolorous, shining above, glabrous, the 10–24 lateral nerves impressed above, prominent beneath; veins reticulate; petiole channelled, 0.3–1 cm. long.. Flowers 2–8 in fascicles; pedicels 0.8–2.5(–3.8) cm. long, glabrous; bracteoles ovate-lanceolate, ± 2 mm. long, 1 mm. wide, very deciduous..
