Characteristics

Solitary or sparsely branching from old nodes. Leaf-pairs succulent, up to 15 mm long, 12 mm diam., wholly fused, top-shaped, apex distinctly flattened. Epidermis reddish, smooth, with an implausibly plastic sheen, minutely green-spotted. Flowers diurnal, large, petals deep pink, basally white, poking through the thick resting sheath.
