Characteristics

Stemless or somewhat caulescent, rather canescent, depressed; sheaths membranaceous, the uppermost whitish, cuneate, irregularly toothed; corpusculum very thinly pubescent, ciliate at the fissure, not punctate, shorter than the vagina; styles 6. Root perennial. Stems numerous, 1/2-1 inch high, greyish, as thick as a pigeon quill. The upper vagina marcescent, white. Corpuscula the size of a small pea. Petals unknown.
