Characteristics

Sparsely branched geophyte, up to 25 mm diam. Leaf-pairs succulent, up to 15 mm long, 15 mm diam., wholly fused, gumdrop-shaped, translucent but somewhat cloaked in the whitish, skeletonised, old leaves. Epidermis pale green to reddish, cells visible as glistening, very small bumps. Flowers nocturnal, scented, pale yellow to ochre or rarely pink.
