Characteristics

Robust clusters, up to 200 mm diam. Leaf-pairs succulent, up to 60 mm long, 20 mm diam. at base, broadening and then tapering to a sharp point, triangular in section and fused only in lower quarter, widely gaping, pustulate on inner faces, firm in texture. Epidermis pale whitish green to pinkish, finely spotted or not, smooth. Flowers diurnal, huge, strongly scented, petals white to rose, stigmas long.
