Characteristics

Clusters up to 150 mm, often scraggly. Leaf-pairs succulent, up to 20 mm long, 10 mm diam., inversely conical, apex truncate to concave. Epidermis bright green to deep blackish green, shiny, smooth or with crocodilian-like bumps, sometimes spotted with red. Flowers diurnal, long-tubed, tube externally magenta, petals pink to white, filaments red or magenta.
