Characteristics

Vine. Leaves with petiole 7–21 mm long; lamina elliptic, to 10 cm long, to 4.6 cm wide, cuneate at base, acute; secondary veins 11–13 each side of midrib. Inflorescence of 1 or 2 fascicles. Flowers c. 6 cm long, 5–8.8 cm diam.; pedicels 7–8 mm long. Corolla pale pink to white; tube 27–45 mm long, 16–17 mm diam.; lobes lanceolate-ovate, 25–40 mm long, 13–22 mm wide. Corolline corona of 5 bilobed filaments in throat of corolla tube. Anthers 4–4.5 mm long, 3–3.5 mm wide. Follicles 11–12 cm long, 2–3.5 cm wide.
