Home
Erect annual herb 10–50 cm. tall; stems simple to much branched, stems glabrescent or strigose to hispid, more or less verrucose.
Corolla white or cream or pale blue-pink; tube 15–22 mm. long, gibbous or not, glandular without; limb 8–16 mm. in diam.
Leaves up to 8 x 2 mm., linear, lower rudimentary, entire or rarely with two remote teeth.
Bracteoles usually absent, if present 1–3 mm. long, filiform, inserted on pedicels.
Capsule 7–14 mm. long including beak, winged, dehiscent along upper suture only.
Filaments of shorter stamens 1.5–2 mm. long, of longer 3–4 mm. long.
Style 5–7 mm. long including compressed stigma.
Ovary 2–3 mm. long, compressed ovoid.
Inflorescence spicate or racemose.
Anthers 1.8–2 mm. long.
Pedicels 0–1 mm. long.
