Very old cultivar from Portugal. Origin: Tree: vigorous, becoming large and spreading, not productive; late to begin bearing. Fruit: very large, oblong-oval; skin almost orange when ripe, very wooly, flesh juicier than other types; turns fine purple or deep crimson when cooked; flavor very good; ripens very early, 10 days before Orange.
