Characteristics

Woody vine; latex white. Leaves with petiole 40–80 mm long; lamina herbaceous, ovate, to 17 cm long, to 14 cm wide, cordate to lobate, acute to weakly acuminate; secondary veins 5 or 6 each side of midrib, prominent beneath; colleters 6–13. Inflorescence of many fascicles. Flowers 4–5 mm long, c. 5 mm diam.; pedicels 4–7 mm long. Sepals triangular to lanceolate, 2–3 mm long. Corolla campanulate, cream; lobes lanceolate-ovate, 2.1–3 mm long, 1.4–1.6 mm wide, glabrous. Gynostegial corona of 5 free staminal lobes, cream; lobes oblong with a subulate apex, 3–5 mm long, 0.5–1 mm wide at base, 0.2–0.3 mm wide at tip, incurved over staminal column. Follicles fusiform-ovoid, 5–6 cm long.
