Leaves digitately 3–5-foliolate, ± sticky; leaflets elliptic to obovate or oblanceolate, 2.5–12 cm. long, 1–8 cm. wide, acute to acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base, crenate-dentate, the teeth apiculate and gland-tipped, sometimes ± subulate-tipped, sparsely pubescent and densely covered with pale hairs tipped with red or greenish brown glands; petiole 1.7–10 cm. long; petiolules 0–3 mm. long; stipules ovate-lanceolate, 0.6–1.5(–2) cm. long, 3.5–7(–14) mm. wide, pubescent and with gland-tipped hairs.. Cymes lax, 3–6 cm. wide on axillary branches, trichotomous; peduncle 2–5 cm. long; pedicels 2–3.5 mm. long, pubescent and with dense short gland-tipped hairs; bracts and bracteoles filiform, ± 2 mm. long.. Buds oblong-cylindric, 2–3 mm. long, constricted near the middle, ± puberulous and with dense red gland-tipped hairs particularly above.. Calyx yellow-green and red, ± 1 mm. wide, with red gland-tipped hairs.. Petals greenish cream outside save for margins reddish, cream inside with margins and cucullate apical part crimson.. Disk white with yellow glands.. Ovary glandular; style 1.3 mm. long, apex crimson.. Fruit black, subglobose or ellipsoid, 5.5–7 mm. long, 4 mm. wide, pubescent and with dense gland-tipped hairs ± 0.5 mm. long.. Seeds obovoid, 4–6 mm. long, 3–4.5 mm. wide, basally produced into 3-crested projection; ventral ridge strong, mid-dorsal ridge marked only in apical half; lateral dorsals irregular lines and between them and mid-ridge a series of marked tubercles, some joined by short ridges to the mid-ridge; sides with tubercles and crests, that near basal projection very marked, the general effect rugose.
