Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets elliptic, (5–)8–13.5 cm. long, (1.7–)4.5–7 cm. wide, acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base, remotely dentate with upwardly directed small teeth, glabrous but surface minutely blistered in the dry state and with numerous minute white cystoliths; petiole 5–7.5 cm. long (Mildbraed gives 6–2); petiolules (± 0–)0.5–2 cm. long, the median the longest, together with petiole with gland-tipped bristly hairs densest at junction with stem and each other; stipules at least 5 mm. long but inadequately preserved..
