Leaves digitately 3–5-foliolate, sessile or subsessile; leaflets narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, obovate-oblanceolate or ovate to oblong-elliptic, 5.5–41 cm. long, 1–16.5 cm. wide, acute to subacute at the apex, narrowly attenuate or cuneate, serrate, glabrous above, densely ferruginous pubescent beneath when young but later glabrescent or ± glabrous except for venation; petioles up to 3 cm. long; stipules reddish, triangular, 0.7–2 cm. long, 2.5–8 mm. wide, acuminate, densely pubescent to glabrescent, hairy on margins.. Cymes terminal or in upper axils, 2–3-fid, often appearing when leaves are young, 3–16 cm. wide; all axes ferruginous pubescent; peduncle 2.5–10 cm. long; pedicels 2–5 mm. long, the pole one in centre of cyme often ± 1 cm. long, densely pubescent to ferruginous pilose; bracts and bracteoles linear, 1–2 mm. long, ferruginous pubescent.. Buds shortly oblong, 2–2.5 mm. long, ± constricted near middle, subglabrous and granular and with base and sutures pilose.. Calyx 2 mm. wide.. Petals greenish yellow or yellow, tipped with red, ± 2.5 mm. long.. Ovary sparsely puberulous or glabrous.. Fruit yellow-brown, flushed reddish brown, or purplish black, subglobose, 1–1.2 cm. long, 7–8 mm. wide, glabrous..
