Climbing herb; stems slender, glabrous or with few gland-tipped hairs near nodes, to puberulous; tendrils present.. Leaves 3–5-foliolate; leaflets elliptic to narrowly obovate, 2–7 cm. long, 1–3.8 cm. wide, acute at the apex, cuneate at the base, coarsely serrate, the teeth ± apiculate, scabrous papillate-pubescent on both surfaces, the papillae with minute hairs but also short pubescence on the main venation beneath and midrib above; petiole 1–4.5 cm. long, densely shortly pubescent; petiolules (0–)3–8 mm. long, similarly pubescent and with some gland-tipped hairs; stipules ovate to lanceolate-acuminate, 3–8 mm. long, 2.5–4 mm. wide, sparsely pubescent or ciliate with gland-tipped hairs.. Cymes ± 10 cm. wide, on axillary branches; peduncle 3–7 cm. long, glabrous; pedicels red, 2–7 mm. long, glabrous but with marked thick short stalked glands, sometimes ± scattered but often clustered in a group at about the middle; bracteoles similar to stipules, 1–2 mm. long.. Buds oblong, 1.5–3 mm. long, glabrous.. Calyx 1 mm. wide.. Petals yellow or yellow-carmine.. Fruit ellipsoid, 7 mm. long, 4.5–5 mm. wide, ± apiculate, glabrous.. Seeds obovoid or ellipsoid-subglobose, 6 mm. long, 4 mm. wide; ventral and mid-dorsal ridges evident with ± 2 rugae on each side of dorsal and general surface minutely tuberculate, all lateral ridges sometimes ± rugulose; sides with 1–2 obscure ridges or tubercles.
