Characteristics

Erect fleshy herb presumably without tendrils; stem very densely covered with obviously multicellular spreading hairs ± 7 mm. long which hide fewer gland-tipped hairs only 0.7 mm. long.. Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets elliptic, 9–30 cm. long, 3.5–17.5 cm. wide, ± acute at the apex, median leaflet attenuate at base, laterals broadly cuneate, sessile, irregularly lobulate-crenate, with long hairs similar to stems and sparse gland-tipped hairs; petioles 4-probably ±11 cm. long, with similar hairs; stipules narrowly triangular-falcate, 3 cm. long, 6 mm. wide, similarly hairy.. Cymes 12 cm. wide; stalk ±14 cm. long with stipular involucre and small leaf, the true peduncle 5.5 cm., with long hairs to 3 mm. and ± dense short gland-tipped hairs becoming denser on shorter axes; pedicels 2–4 mm. long, with very dense short gland-tipped hairs; bracts and bracteoles not apparent.. Buds 177 mm. long, constricted at middle, with dense long pubescence at apex but no glands and short pubescence and usually short gland-tipped hairs at the base.. Calyx with similar gland-tipped hairs.. Petals ± 2.5 mm. long.. Fruits unknown.
