Erectum glabrum, copin'e ramosum, nunc compactum, nunc diffusum, 10-12 cm altum; rami senecti graciles rigidi, juniores ad 1.5 mm diam., interaodiis 1-5.5 cm. longis; folia saepius patentia vel recurvata, supra concava, dorso rotundata, lat. visa acuta saturate viridia, levia, saepe 2.5 cm. longa, 3 mm. lata, 2.5 mm. diam.; pedunculus teres vel in flore emarcido clavate leviter ampliatus, saepius 1.5-3.5 cm. longus; receptaculum breviter turbinatum, in alabastro floreque maturo ad 3 mm. longum, ad 5 mm. diam., deinde abbreviatum, pedunculoque ampliato subintruso; sepala 5, acutissima, 3 teretia, conspicue longioribus, 4-8 mm., vel 4-10 mm., longa in eodem flore; petala 1-seriata vel cum staminodiis pauci-acuminatis subpatentibus 2-seriata, obtusa, inferne vix angustata, nivea, ad 7 mm. longa, ad 1 mm. lata; staminodia apice recurvata, sat numerosa, 4 mm. longa; filamenta ad 3 mm. longa, alba, inferne, vel intima prope apicem, papillata, antheris luteis; ovarii lobi subapproximati, fere globosi. per 1 mm. elevati; stigmata 5, subulata, breviter caudat;. 3 mm. longa.

Leaves succulent, terete, grooved above, rounded below, bladder cells evenly scattered over leaf surface, apex tapering to a blunt point. Flowers white, solitary to ternate, calyx lobes longer than petals. Flowering time Sept.-May. Capsules pale honey-coloured, mostly 5-locular, closing bodies absent, covering membranes reduced to a ledge, expanding keels parallel, valve wings broad.
