Characteristics

Glabrum, ad 25 cm. altum, 35 cm. diam., diffuse copioseque ramosum; rami adscendcntes, inferne albidi, internodiis 2-5 cm. longis; folia saepe subincurva, semi-teretia, supra levissime concava, superne gradatim attenuata, acuta, minute painliosa, laete viridia, in cultis 2-5 cm. longa, 5 mm. diam.; flores 1-3-ternati diurni, ad 3 cm. diam., pedunculo intermedio ebracteato, saepius 2 cm. longo; petala 2-seriata laxa subspatbulata obtusa purpureo-rosea, ad 2 mm. lata; staminodia rosea, sat numerosa; filamenta pallida, ad 6 mm. longa, intirna medio papillata; ovarium supra profunde 5-lobatum; stigmata subulata setaceo-acuminata, 5 mm. longa.

Densely branching, perennial, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.35 m high. Leaves succulent, semi-terete, upper surface grooved, covered with rounded bladder cells, apex blunt. Flowers in rich cymes, pink with white centre. Flowering time spring to late summer. Capsules 5-locular, closing bodies absent, covering membranes reduced to a ledge, expanding keels parallel, broad, valve wings broad.
Dwarf shrub, succulent, up to 0.25 m high. Stems densely branched, internodes light ochre, bladder cells elongate, distant. Leaves semiterete, apex acute, bright green. Flowers: in loose cymes; corolla up to 30 mm in diameter; petals rose-purple; staminodes pink; filaments pale pink; Oct.-Feb.
