Erectum glabrum gracillinum, 16 cm. altum, diffuse laxe copioseque ramosum; rami ad 2 mm., ramuli saepe 1 mm. diam., internodiis saepius 1.5-2 cm. longis; folia supra canaliculata, dorso rotundata, lat. visa sat abrupte acuta vel acuminata, 1.3-2 cm., rarius in umbrosis ad 3 cm., longa, 1.5-2 mm. lata, 1.5 mm. diam.; flores 1-2-nati vel irregulariter 3-nati, ad 1.7 cm. diam.; pedunculi 1.5-3.5 cm. longi, fructiferi rigidi gracillimi; receptaculum obconicum, 2 mm. longum, 4 mm. diam.; sepala 5-7 mm., vel accrescentia 7-9 mm., longa; petala 1-seriata, laxa, obtusa vel subacuta, inferne haud attenuata, nivea, ad 8 mm. longa, ad 0.75 mm. lata; staminodia nivea acuminata, apice recurve, ad 5 mm. longa; filamenta conice conferta, ad 4 mm. longa, interiora prope medium papillata, antheris stramineis; glandulae prominentes distantes; ovarium fere planum, lobis inconspicuis; stigmata 5, subulata, 2 mm. longa; capsula 6 mm. diam., medio depressa, suturis leviter elevatis, vix altitudinem receptaculi superantibus, ringentibus.

Perennial, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.2 m high, branches erect to decumbent. Leaves linear to semi-terete, sometimes obscurely keeled, concave on top, acute, with densely arranged, rounded bladder cells. Flowers solitary to 3-nate, white with pink centre. Flowering time late summer. Capsules pale brown, 5-locular, closing bodies absent, covering membranes reduced to a narrow ledge.

Leaves linear to elongate, spindle-shaped, 20-48 x 3-4 mm, surfaces with dense semi-orbicular bladder cells. Flowers: petals white; staminodes pink, recurved; filaments pink; Oct.-Feb.
