Minute velutino-pubescens, ramis primariis elongatis decumbentibus, ad 7 mm. diam., secundariis adscendentibus vel erectis, ad 25 cm. altis; folia saepius patentia, brevissime connata, apice oblique truncata more D. subincam, vel recurvata, semi-teretia vel fere teretia, juniora apiculate, apiculo recurvato, ad 3.3 cm. longa, ad 2 mm. lata diametroque; cyma laxe multiflora, ad 63-fl., pedunculis 1-1.5 cm. longis; flores diurni, saepius 1.2 cm. diam.; sepala inaequilonga, 3 longiora ad 6 mm., vel post anthesin ad 8 mm., longa, 3 minora ad 3 mm. longa, late membranaceo-marginata; petala subuniseriata densa obtusa testaceo-rosea, marcescentia ocbracea, 5 mm. longa, 1 mm. lata vel rarius parum ultra; stamina conico-collecta, staminodiis albis recurvatis, fllamentis albis, prope medium longe papillatis, ad 2.5 mm. longis, antheris pollineque pallide stramineis; glandulae 5, fere contiguae, eonspicuae atrovirides; ovarium medio supra elevatum, vix lobatum, stigmata subulata acuminata, vix 1.5 mm. longa.

Perennial, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.4 m high, all parts velvety. Leaves semi-terete to almost terete, with recurved apex. Flowers lax, rich, terminal cymes, brick-red-pink. Flowering time Sept.-June. Capsules pale brown, 5-locular, closing bodies absent, covering membranes reduced to a narrow ledge, valve wings twice as broad as expanding keels.
Plants sprawling or prostrate. Prostrate to ascending shrublet, with finely papillate branches to 25 cm long. Leaves spreading, subterete to terete. Flowers in many-flowered cymes, pink, to 12 mm diam. Fruits unknown.
