Characteristics

Perennial, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.1 m high, with creeping branches forming mats, roots succulent. Leaves oval, flat on upper surface, all herbaceous parts minutely papillate. Flowers solitary, bright yellow. Flowering time summer. Capsules pale brown, 5-locular, closing bodies absent, covering membranes reduced to a narrow ledge.
