A succulent cushion-forming herb.. Branches procumbent, then ascending, subwoody-succulent.. Leaves lanceolate, succulent, 14–20 mm. long, 3 mm. broad, 2.5 mm. thick, 3-angled, canaliculate above, basally truncate.. Flower terminal, held above the level of the leaves, shortly-stalked.. Calyx about 10 mm. long and 6 mm. in diameter across the top of the calyx-tube, the tube rounded below, pubescent-papillose. Calyx-lobes unequal, triangular, about 1 1/2 times as long as broad.. Staminodes lanceolate, gradually narrowed to the base, about 7 mm. long.
