Humile debile, diffuse ramosum, ramis gracilibus, omnibus partibus herbaceis molliter pubescentibus, pilis patentibus; folia fere erecta, ad apicem ramulorum aggregata, imbricata, obtuse, vel apice acute, carinata, supra plana, lateribus convexa, lateraliter visa acuta vel abrupte acuta viridia, saepius 1-1.5 cm. longa, medio 4-5 mm. lata, 3-4 mm. diam.; flores 1-3-nati, sessiles vel subsessiles, diurni, corolla 6-8 mm. diam.; receptaculum, turbinatum; sepala 5, inaequilonga, 2 ad 4 mm. longa, petala superantia, 3 membranaceo-marginata, 1.5-2 mm. longa; petala 1-seriata, sat densa, obtusa integra roseo-purpurea. ad 3.5 mm. longa, ad.75 mm. lata; staminodia alba, stamina bene excedentia, 2.5 mm. longa; filamenta ad 1.5 mm. longa, interiora basi parce papillata, antheris pro parte permagnis, 1 mm. longis, acuminatis, cum polline pallidis; glandiulae 5; ovarium supra 5-lobum, lobis valde elevatis obtusis; stigmata 5, subulata acuminata, vix 1 mm. longa, antheris fere attingentia.

Leaves bright green, flat on top, sides convex, bladder cells ending in soft hairs, apex acute to recurved. Flowers solitary to 3-nate, deep pink. Flowering time spring to late summer. Capsules pale brown, 5-locular, closing bodies absent.
