Humile glabrum, primum compactum, deinde ramos elongates emittens; rami reptantes rubro-purpurei teretes, 17 cm. longi vel ultra, saepius, 1.5 mm. diam., internodiis 1.5-2.5 cm. longis; folia saepius superne versa itaque quasi erecta, crassa, obtusa vel abrupte acuta, basin versus sat abrupte angustata itaque quasi petiolata, supra concava, obscure, vel novella haud, carinata, lateribus leviter convexis, sordide glauco-viridia, novella saepe purpureo-suffusa, 1.5-2 cm, longa, 5-6 mm. lata diametroque, vagina vix ad 1 mm. longa; flores solitarii, pauci tantum visi, diurni, 1.8 cm. diam.; pedunculi ad 1 cm. longi; receptaculum breviter turbinatum, 3.5 mm. longum, 6 mm. diam.; sepala 5 inaequilonga, extima crassa, 4-6 mm. longa; petala 2-3-seriata, pallidissime rosea exteriora obtusa val acuta, interne levissime angustata, ad 8 mm. longa, ad 1.5 mm. lata, interiora acuta vel acuminata, breviora multoque angustiora; staminodia erecta acuminata glabra pallida, ad 5 mm. longa; stamina conico-conferta, ad 4 mm. longa, filamentis intimis prope basin longe papillatis, antheris pollineque aureis; glandulae inconspicuae approximatae; ovarium supra concavum, lobis inconspicuis complanatis; stigmata 5 subulata, longe tenuis-simeque acuminata, luteo-viridia, 2 mm. longa; capsula haud visa.

Flowers solitary, white to pale pink. Flowering time spring to late summer. Capsules pale brown, 5-locular, closing bodies absent, covering membranes reduced to a narrow ledge, valve wings narrower than expanding keels.
