Characteristics

Glabrum, laxe ramosum, ca. 10 cm. altum; rami patentes, saepe 12 cm. longi, 2 mm. diam., juniores compressi, internodiis 2-3 cm. longis; folia supra plana, carinata, lateribus leviter convexis, lat. visa apicem versus attenuata, aristate apiculata, apice saepe recurvata, saturate olivacea, ad 3 cm. longa, 3 mm. lata diametroque, saepius 2-2.5 cm. longa, 2 mm. diam., vagina 1 mm.; receptaculum 2 mm. longum, ad 4.5 mm. diam., anguste 5-suleatum, sulcis in pedunculum ad 6 mm. longum decurrentibus, apice leviter constrictum; sepala 5, acuminata, basi incrassata, dorso convexa, 3-6 mm., vel 4-7 mm., longa in eodem flore; petala 2-seriata, obtusa vel emarginata, inferne leviter attenuata, rubre purpurea, 6 mm. longa, ad 1 mm. lata; staminodia ad 3.5 mm, longa, staminibus confertis adpressa; filamenta ad 3 mm. longa, intima medio vel supra papillata, antheris aureis; glandulae approximatae crenulatae; ovarium ad 1 mm. elevatum, lobis approximatis convexis; stigmata subulata, caudate acuminata, 2 mm. longa.
