Leaf-blades elliptic, 5–18 cm. long, 1.8–7 cm. wide, sharply acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base, olivaceous on drying, shiny; domatia present, with very small hairs; petioles 2–9 mm. long; stipules triangular, 2–8 mm. long, with subulate or apiculate apex.. Flowers solitary in each axil of each node; peduncle 0.8–2 cm. long.. Calyx-tube obconic, 4–7 mm. long, 3 mm. wide; tubular part of the limb 1.5–3 mm. long; lobes unequal, lanceolate, 1.2–4.5 cm. long, 2.8–8 mm. wide.. Corolla cream, pale yellow-green or primrose-yellow; tube 4–6 cm. long, 1.8–3.5 cm. wide at the throat; lobes ovate, 1.7–7.4 cm. long, 1.1–2.8 cm. wide.. Ovary with ± 16 ovules embedded in the 2 placentas; style glabrous, half as long to as long as the tube, swollen into a club for ± 1 cm. at the apex.. Fruit yellow, ellipsoid or subglobose, 3.3–3.5 cm. long, 1.7–2.3 cm. wide, containing 1 to several seeds, smooth or feebly 5-ribbed.. Seeds 1.1–1.3 cm. long, 1 cm. wide, 4 mm. thick, with a fibrous finely striate coat.
