Characteristics

Plants 0.6-1.4(-2.0) m high, solitary or 2 or 3 stems tufted together. Corm ± 20 mm diam. Stem with lowermost peduncle 45-100 mm long. Foliage leaves several, 300-700 x 3-5 mm; reduced sheathing leaves 3 or 4. Spikes pendulous, terminal 8-to 13-flowered, laterals 3 to 7, each 5-to 10-flowered; bracts lanceolate to oblong-elliptic, acute to acuminate, 15-30 x 6-8 mm, usually ± 2 internodes long, lightly flecked throughout or with white margins, lateral veins ± 6 each side of main vein, with intermediate veins well developed, all veins very close together and parallel. Flowers funnel-shaped, pink; perianth tube 5.0-7.5 mm long; tepals 10.5-15.0 x 4.5-6.5 mm. Anthers 4.5-6.0(-7.0) mm long. Stigmas held 5-8 mm below top of perianth.
