Characteristics

Plants 500-700 mm high, solitary or a few stems tufted together. Corm ± 15-20 mm diam. Stem with lowermost peduncle 50-100(-140) mm long. Foliage leaves few, 300-600 x (1.5-)2.0-3.5(-4.0) mm; reduced sheathing leaves 3 or 4. Spikes pendulous, terminal 5-to 8(9)-flowered, laterals 2 to 4(6), each 3-to 5(7)-flowered; bracts obovate-elliptic, acute-apiculate, 13-20 x 6-9 mm, up to ± 2 internodes long, lightly to moderately flecked throughout or with white margins, lateral veins 5 each side of main vein. Flowers bell-shaped, pale to dark pink or magenta-pink; perianth tube 5-7(-8) mm long; tepals (11-)13-15(-16) x (4-)5-6 mm. Anthers (5.0-)5.5-6.0(-7.0) mm long. Stigmas held 4-8 mm below top of perianth.
