Characteristics

Plants 300-750 mm high, clump-forming. Corm ± 20 mm diam. Stem with lowermost peduncle 35-95 mm long. Foliage leaves several, 250-600 x 2.5-5.0 mm; reduced sheathing leaves 3. Spikes pendulous, terminal 5-to 10-flowered, laterals 1 to 6, each 3-to 8-flowered; bracts broadly elliptic to lanceolate-elliptic, acute, 10-15 x 4-6 mm, ± 2 internodes long, lightly to heavily flecked all over or margins pale, delicately veined with 3 or 4 lateral veins each side of main vein, extending < halfway up bract. Flowers funnel-shaped, pale to deep mauve or magenta-pink; perianth tube 4-6(-8) mm long; tepals 7-14 x 4-6(-8) mm. Anthers 4-6(-8) mm long. Stigmas held 3-6 mm below top of perianth.
