Inflorescence of solitary (rarely paired) racemes; racemes 5–9 cm. long, the spikelets paired on a narrowly winged triquetrous rhachis; pedicels glabrous.. Spikelets oblanceolate, 2.5–2.7 mm. long; lower glume suppressed; upper glume 1/3–1/2 as long as the spikelet, 1–3-nerved, pilose, prolonged at the base into a little spur ± 0.5 mm. long appressed to the pedicel; lower lemma as long as the spikelet, 7-nerved, pilose on the margins and on the lower half; fruit ellipsoid, pallid, weakly keeled at the base.
