Inflorescence a pair of racemes; racemes 8–9 cm. long, the spikelets single on a winged rhachis with triquetrous midrib; pedicels short (1 mm.), pubescent.. Spikelets lanceolate, 5 mm. long; lower glume absent; upper glume 1/4 as long as the spikelet, 3-nerved, pilose, prolonged downwards into a little spur 0.2 mm. long, truncate or emarginate at the tip; lower lemma as long as the spikelet, 7-nerved, pilose; fruit narrowly ellipsoid, pallid.
