Characteristics

Epiphytic shrublet, 10-20 cm. Branches terete c. 3-5 mm ø, tips again and again branched. Branchlets short, congested, aggregated in form of a cushion, verruculose in the young parts and very shortly patently brownish puberulous. Leaves very dense, acicular, apex subacute, base short-attenuate, subcoriaceous, glabrous, (1-)1.5-2 cm by 0.5-0.8 mm, midrib impressed above, nerves obscure; petiole 0.5-1 mm. Flowers axillary, solitary, minute. Pedicels subglabrous, 1.5-2.5 mm, slender. Bracteoles minute, ciliolate. Calyx 1.3 mm, glabrous, lobes ovate, obtuse, ciliolate. Corolla broad-cylindric, c. 2.5 mm, 5-lobed nearly halfway. Filaments sublinear, glabrous, 1 mm; anther-cells very granular, oblong, inflexed at the base, 0.8 mm; tubules narrow, 1.2 mm. Ovary glabrous; style 1.5 mm. Fruit c. 1.5 0.
