Leaves in spirals; lamina chartaceous when dry, lanceolate to elliptic, 1–11 × 0.5–4.5 cm., apex acute to acuminate, base cuneate to subobtuse, margin repand to dentate; upper surface sparsely puberulous (more densely on the midrib), lower surface glabrous or sparsely puberulous (mainly on the midrib); lateral veins (2–)4–9 pairs; petiole (0.2–)0.7–3 cm. long, ± 0.5–2 mm. thick; stipules subulate, ± 0.5 mm. long, caducous.. Inflorescences solitary; peduncle (0.5–) 1–2.5 cm. long, ± 0.5 mm. thick.. Receptacle discoid and plane; flowering face subcircular, 0.2–0.6 cm. in diameter, margin 1–3 mm. wide, membranous, with radiating ribs; appendages in 1 row, 1–4 triangular to linear, up to 10 mm. long..
