Leaves (at least on the branches) distichous; lamina subcoriaceous to chartaceous when dry, lanceolate to elliptic or obovate, (3–)7–15(–22) × (1–)2.5–9 cm., apex acuminate to subcaudate, sometimes truncate and coarsely dentate to lobed, base cuneate to obtuse, margin dentate (towards the apex sometimes lobate) to subentire; both surfaces puberulous; lateral veins (4–)6–12(–14) pairs; petiole 0.3–1(–1.7) cm. long, ± 1 mm. thick; stipules narrowly triangular, 3–11 mm. long, subpersistent.. Inflorescences solitary or sometimes up to 3 together; peduncle 0.2–0.8(–1.2) cm. long..
