Leaves in spirals; lamina papyraceous when dry, oblong to subobovate, less often lanceolate to elliptic, (1.5–)3–18(–24) × (0.3–)0.8–6 cm., apex acute to obtuse, base attenuate to cuneate, margin coarsely (dentate-)crenate to lobate or subentire; upper surface minutely puberulous on the midrib or also near the margin, lower surface glabrous or almost so; lateral veins 3–12 pairs; petiole 0.5–2.5 cm. long, ± 1–2 mm. thick; stipules triangular to ovate, up to 1 mm. long, persistent.. Inflorescences solitary; peduncle 1–2.4 cm. long, ± 1 mm. thick..
