Twigs slightly compressed, usually scurfy puberulous with some short spreading hairs, glabrescent.. Petiole 1–6 mm. long, shallowly channelled and hairy in the groove; lamina thin, yellow-green, linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, 3–12 cm. long, 0.8–3.5 cm. wide, acuminate at the apex, cuneate at the base, glabrous, with 5–8 pairs of lateral nerves, the lower 3–4 strongly ascending.. Flowers 4–12 per umbel; peduncles 1–4 mm. long; pedicels 4–5 mm. long, hairy; bract triangular-ovate from a shallow cup, 2–3 mm. long, gibbous, ciliolate, puberulous.. Receptacle 1.5–2.5 mm. long.. Calyx (1–)1.5–4 mm. long, ciliolate.. Corolla 1.8–2.6 cm. long, orange or yellow-orange; buds 4-angled, isodiametric (unless insect galled) below, with a slight fusiform apical swelling 4–5 mm. long; tube 9–13 mm. long, with V-slit extending nearly to base, papillate inside, especially along sutures; lobes erect to spreading, perhaps sporadically reflexed, linear-spathulate, scarcely longer than tube.. Stamens green, sometimes darkening with age; filament-tooth 0.7–1(–1.3) mm. long; anthers 3–4 mm. long.. Berry not seen.
