Characteristics

Leaves with 10-20 or more pairs of pinnae and a leaf-rhachis 15-90 cm. long; tendrils absent; leaflets 6-16 pairs, 0·5-2 x 0·25-0·7 cm., ± ovate-oblong, very asymmetric, rounded and mucronate at the apex, at the base with the midrib on the distal margin and the proximal side rounded, subglabrous to ± pubescent especially on the midrib beneath.

Corolla pale dull yellow; petals with their free part c. 1·25-1·75 mm. long, connate below into a corolla-tube 3·5-4 mm. long, longer than the calyx.
Suffrutex with erect annual stems 1-10 cm. high and shortly tomentose or densely pubescent when young.
Racemes axillary, 1-2 together, 4-10 cm. long (including peduncle); axis densely pubescent.
Pods 3-6·5 x 1·5-1·8 cm., straight; stipe very short, less than 0·3 cm.
Calyx 1·5-2 mm. long, pubescent.
