Leaf-blades narrowly lanceolate, 4–15 cm. long, 5–18 mm. wide, with cartilaginous margins, one of them crimped.. Inflorescence 7–15 cm. long, compound, the primary branches 3–7 cm. long and bearing crowded secund racemelets 4–10 mm. long; pedicels terete.. Spikelet 2.2–2.5 mm. long; lower glume 0.2–0.4 mm. long, broadly obtuse; upper lemma obtuse.
