Small shrub; twigs tomentose with stellate and short dendritic slightly fulvous hairs, soon glabrescent.. Leaves opposite to alternate, soon clustered on short shoots; petiole 3–5 mm. long; lamina oblong-elliptic to oblong-oblanceolate, 1.5–4 cm. long, 0.5–2 cm. wide, cuneate to shortly rounded at the base, stellate-pubescent, early glabrescent, with 4–5 pairs of lateral nerves.. Heads terminal on short shoots (commonly composed of 2 pairs of leaves) and in axils on younger long shoots, (2–)4-flowered; peduncle 1–2.5 cm. long, sparsely hairy; bract with a leafy limb, 8–12 mm. long, 4–8 mm. wide.. Receptacle 1.5 mm. long, long-hairy.. Calyx 2.5–3 mm. long, silky villous.. Corolla 3–4 cm. long, green and apricot, densely silky villous except for the lower part of the basal swelling; basal swelling 5 mm. long; constriction 3 mm. long; funnel-shaped upper tube 7–8 mm. long.. Berry not seen.
