Characteristics

Erect shrub, 0.3-0.6 m high. Leaves 3-nate, suberect when young becoming erect and patent when mature, 2-3 mm long, oblong, obtuse, sulcate, glabrous and shiny. Flowers terminal, 3-nate; pedicels viscid, puberulous, 2-3 mm long. Calyx sepals erect, 2 mm long, ovate, glabrous, similar to bracts. Corolla ± 3 mm long, globose to urceolate, not contracted, glabrous, viscid, white, ± halfway divided; lobes triangular, erect and expanding. Filaments 1.5 mm long; anthers included, basally dorsifixed, 1 mm long, oblong, obtuse, margins ciliate, crested; appendages 0.5 mm long, partly decurrent, ciliate. Ovary sessile, densely villous; style 2 mm long; stigma simple, manifest. Flowering time Sept., Oct.
